Karaka fields teams in all grades from Small Black's Under 6 to Under 13. Please refer to the CMRFU Junior Rugby Grading Table on the Download Forms Page for details on the full range of teams available. The Age & Weight restrictions are strictly enforced within each grade at Karaka RFC.
All Karaka Junior Rugby Teams in the Small Blacks 6th & 7th grades play their games at Bruce Pulman Park on Saturday Morning - some occasional Friday evening games are played at home. From the 8th Grade - the teams play on a home and away basis either on a Friday evening or Saturday Morning.
Parental participation within our Junior Rugby Teams is encouraged and we are seeking Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers every season. The CMRFU provide pre-season Coaching Clinics & involvement can be either full or part-time. Please register your interest during the Registration process or contact any member of the committee if you would like to inquire about how to become involved.
The Junior Club is extremely pleased to have the support of our major sponsors - Navigation Homes, Wallace Construction, Tucker Electrical, Frame Homes and Walker Property Services will be featuring on our playing gear this season. Karaka Junior Rugby also receives invaluable support from Vernon & Vazey Truck Parts and from Paddock to Pantry who sponsor the half-time oranges for all teams throughout the season.
Thanks to the generous financial support of our major sponsors, the club is able to provide shorts, jerseys, tracksuits and gear bags to every junior playing member. Mouthguards & other club merchandise can be purchased from the club at the time of Registration. Second hand gear will be available for purchase during the Registration Days & on the Skills Training Day.
